Best and safest way to clean aquarium

Hi I just purchased a 55gallon aquarium.Im gonna use it to house my lizard but I need help on cleaning it.The guy I bought the aquarium from use to keep turtles in there and the glass is like cover in white stuff.Whats the best way to clean that off.Thanks

For the glass, I used to use some lemon juice and a razor blade to scrape the stuff off the glass. It's water stains. You might try something like CLR. If you do, make sure you clean it out really well and let it air out too.

White vinegar is what i use, along with a razor blade, and some brillo pads!
