MichaelMyers Aug 02, 2007 09:22 AM

Hello from Germany!

I want to show you two of my blood pythons. The father is a P.breitensteini "marble" and the mother is a P.curtus.

Hi!

I didn't do it. I only bought them...
But I think it's interesting because there are no P.curtus "marble"

in reality they aren't marbled p. curtus. they are crosses. i guess this is the biggest issue w/a cross.....

I agree, big difference between a cross and a morph.

It is to bad this sort of thing is fast becoming a trend in every area of snake breeding. If you have closely related species and there are morphs it causes the short sited to cross them trying to make a snake that can never be. If you cross two species you have created nothing. You did not make a marble Curtis and its not even a marble boreo anymore. When breeders of these snakes realize down the road no one cares for the cross they will get passed of as what ever and forever pollute the Captive gene pool. I feel bad for future keepers when I see snakes like that.
