1.)the snake has been in the hide for the last 2 days, and i'm almost certain that it hasn't come out once. this is normal?
2.)I haven't seen it drink once.
3.)I can't get the humidity to stay above 40% aven with a screen top covered 3/4th of the way with a foil/duct tape combination.
I need to know what I should be doing to correct these things.
P.S. I have a thermostat in the mail, will this make a difference?
Welcome to the ball world. They love their hides rarely come out, maybe at night when it is dark and quiet. I would cover the screen 90% and spritz the bedding down a bit. Screen tops are tough. Also try cypress mulch works great for getting humidity up. I am sure it is drinking you just not seeing it. Your ball seems to be acting normal. Congrats on the new addition and post a pic if you can.
