Hi all,,

I am so excited....My first beardie egg is starting to hatch.. It has been since June 3rd and now,,,,the wait will be over. It has been a very long wait. We had 9 eggs that made it. I can just see the little nose out of the egg. It is soooo cute...

shouldnt take long. a few hours to be fully out maybe. now dont take them out of the incubator right away. move the hatched ones to a different container and put them back in the incubator for another 24 hrs. most dragons hatch with the egg yolk still hangiing out of the belly. dont be alarmed. this will go away easily with leaving them in the incubator. and they usually wont eat much within the first day sometimes up to 2 or 3 days. this is because they are still full from the egg yolk. but when they get hungry, they wont stop eating.

How many days did it take for your clutch to hatch? I have 6 eggs in the incubator that remain from a 24 egg clutch laid on june 15 and they started to collapse two days ago but so far no sign of any life. My female beardy was sick when she laid them and only two out of 24 were properly shell coated, most were membrane only.
