Man, I gotta get a pair of those some day! If I was stuck on an island with only one species of snake, it would have to be Zonata. Hmmmm. Sippin' marqaritas on Todos Santos! Now that's my idea of a perfect exile!

Phil you nailed it brother. I'm happy about the lil' buggers too. I may still sell a few, but they haven't emerged just yet, just alot of heads pokin' out. Shall I keep you posted for future reference?

Not that I have much extra space right now. My hatchling racks are pretty close to full with this seasons hatch. I don't think I'd have a problem decideing who to evict for some Agalma though! Post some more pics after they shed, I'll bet they look amazing! Here's some pics, taken by Ric Blair, and outdated , of my Bass Lake Multicincta.

There's an anery sub-species that only occurs on Todos Santos,
Lampropeltis zonata herrerae. I'm not sure if they still exist on the island. Mexico has a very spotty conservation record. Sometimes they can be very iron fisted about enforcement, especially when foriegn "Gringos" are involved, but they will look the other way when their land is polluted or over hunted and fished by it's native people or major multi-million dollar corporations. Ric Blair has some anery multicincta that are found south of Yosemite. I can't wait to see what happens with that breeding project.
