Ball Python Feeding

clapton924 Aug 03, 2007 01:05 AM

Hello,

I recently acquired a 4-month old ball python at this years Florida international reptile expo. I bought a female that is about 21-22" or so. She has settled in well, and eats like a champ....and even shed the second week I had her.

I have been feeding her 1 weanling mouse every 5-7 days. I believe they are about 20g a piece.

My snake has been quite active the past couple days, and I am wondering if she is hungry again...its only been 4 days.

How does a ball python act when its hungry? And how do I know its full after feeding? Or if I need to give her a second mouse?

Thanks,
Greg

I think you need to up the size of her prey, I would feed her a small mouse about every 5 to 6 days, as she grows up her pray size.
