These nongame collectors have a history of looking for loopholes in the law and trashing game wardens on their websites. I don’t recall a single instance where collectors have been mistreated by a game warden in Region 1 nor will we do so now.
I'm not sure which region is region 1, but this guy is so far from reality it isn't even funny. I've been out there thirty years and can list half a dozen old guard wardens where "mistreatment" would be a major understatement.
Have they forgotten 1994 and rockcut so soon?
I felt like I was treated poorley being shoved to th ground by armed officers and drug of in handcuffs and thrown in jail for something that they now admit was not an offence.
Maybe they will remember now.
We need to get that "public" they want so badly involved.. If that happens there will be some real shake up at TP&W for the way that herpers have been handled and I have another huge stack of documents to prove my experiance.

Overall the game wardens I've run across have been decent guys. Some were a bit overzealous but Lacho is the only one who was downright hostile. Cook out of Marfa seemed to target herpers whenever the chance arose. Otherwise, just guys doing a part of their job they would probably rather not be doing.

My experience has been that the game warders I met in past years were nice guys. Ther was one big exception !!! I have a couple other general rhetorical questions

Regarding the Dimmit County warden who suggested protecting alterna because he had stopped a few cars looking for them, should we ban bass fishing since many boats are stopped by wardens whlie fishing for bass?
After many years of permitting collecting along ROW's what precipitated the ban. Why not daily bag limits? Why is Maj. Sinclair seemingly so anti herp hobbyist?

IOW, it's the area where many of us know perfectly well mis-treatment has occurred. I guess we know more than Whiteaker.
