what kind of sand can you use for the bottom? i went tot he petstore and there sand was 15$ a bag, and it would take atleast 3 of there bags to cover the bottom.is there anytihng cheaper that i can use.

50 lb. bags for 3.99 or maybe a tad more but well worth it. It will last you a long time for 1 collared. Make sure ya get the washed paly sand, sold for kids sandboxes ! Alot better than 15.00 hunh? LOL Eve

Yep playsand from homedepot is wonderfully cheap! BUT... If there is a that does brick and stone (gravel and such) dilivery check there, I got 100lbs for $2.. really cant beat that (unless you steal it, or use beach sand, which you shouldnt)
