So I got what I think is a everglades racer though a friend of mine saw it today and swears up and down it's a coachwhip, then his father says it's neither. So, help please?

Looks like an oddly patterned young Coachwhip to me
looks like a baby racer, they are patterned like that for about a year, the pattern fades as they grow older.
I can't really see enough detail of the pattern on these pics. If you could get a picture from above, preferably in better lighting, that would help.
To m it's looking more like a coachwhip from what I can see, but they're very similar at that age.

...a young racer. Without exact locale info and somewhat better pics it's difficult to tell if it's a southern or a 'glades.
Betting man says southern.
