new gecko

metalofdamasses Aug 03, 2007 10:45 PM

ok i got a new leopard gecko yesterday and he is still a juvenile....but his patterns have fully developed and he is quite small. he is paired with a fat tailed ive had for two years and they are getting along fine...but im trying to figure out his age..i cant find any reasonable way to figure out his age online or in a book. I would say that he is about 4' or 5' inches and im pretty sure his patterns are pretty much developed....i would even just be happy if someone could inform me when some noticeable change takes place in them to determine his age at a later time....like a 1 year mark or something. help?

First of all, DO NOT keep it in the same cage with another gecko. Trust me. About the age... I was never sure about mine, too. If it's five inches about, then maybe its around....hmmm lets say 8 months? Maybe. When it's a year it's fully grown. But then again I may be wrong I had the same problem with mine. Good luck!
