Het stands for Hetrozygous. The only related thing between the 2 hets, is the het part.
Het means it shows the Dominant Gene, or Carrier, but it holds a another. For instants...
If your leo is Het for Leucistic, that means that your Leo DOES NOT LOOK Leucistic, BUT if you breet it to one that is or one that is HET for Leucistic, you will get a random combination of Baby leos that are Leucistic and some that are Het Leucistic.
Hope this helps, I once asked the same questions.

No, the Leuistic (being the visual homozygous morph) is the old name for what is know the Murphy Patternless. Once the Blizzards came around the Leuistic name was changed to Patternless because the Blizzards closer resemble what would be called a Leuistic in other animals. Though seldom used, you will see some people still use the term Leuistic refering to Murphy Patternless today.
Leucistic being of white or clear color with the blues seen in the eyes (even though called paternless, to me meaning no sense since they still carry a pattern as newborns it just melds over time) is a genetic pattern that is a standard. Blizzard as I have always known is a trait or mutation that was luckily kept. Three were born from a clutch. Two female and 1 male. Both females died and the male was bred to a sister normal to produce hets in turn to be bred back to daddy and by the freak nature of the universe it worked abd produced Blizzards, Imagine if one of the sisters had actually survived as a Blizz to be bred to brother. Only then would we have known the full potential of the Blizz. As it stands it is strong, I have noticed though Banna Blizz and the such. Whatever. Keep them white. Breeding males to normals to get hets to keep the line is keeping too much yellow. My male blizz just died of a tumor that and he was a 13 year old male bought from a breeder. He produced many white, white babies.
