I took my 6yo out bug hunting this evening (for real -we got a request from a nature center for some live bugs). I figured we MIGHT see a wayward snake or two since conditions were too damp and cool for any self-respecting west Texas snake, plus the wind was from the ESE.

Turns out that the bugs were scarce (one medium sized walking stick) but we found a few herps

TMTC toads
10 Mediterraneans geckos (someone should harvest these invasive critters from the windows at the Terlingua Post Office)
1 DOR checkered garter
1 newly born atrox
2 night snakes
1 large suboc
1 large molossus
1 PICTIGASTER (crawling off my Luna Vista property in the Christmas Mts)

I'll post photos this weekend, now I'm going to bed.
