We have bred and produced some snows this season. Our females are not "grade A's" but still difinately snows. We used our patternless carrot tail male for the stud seeing as how we don't currently have a male snow and we wanted to try to produce a "torch" gecko (white and black body with bright orange carrot tail). We got a total of 14 viable eggs from the two. 6 hatched out black and white (1 cooked male), 7 came out normal (2 cooked male), and...ready for this? 1 patternless. After about 6 weeks two of the black and whites started to turn yellow and were relabled as normals het patternless, two have been sold to someone that had been on our waiting list for nearly 2 months, and the last two we are holding back for the time being.
The snow phase is a line bred trait just like the tangerine, so it can be improved upon. This is the reason for the high demand and the high prices for good ones.
