Curious about hunting for wild rosy boas in So Cal? Well, take it from me who has driven all over the flippin' area. It's been very, very difficult!!! I'm frustrated big time now!!! Enough said!!!

Fieldherpforum.com would be your best source for this type of info. It has many, many more viewers that any herp forum. It has all the Locality rosy forum members and more. Your best shot at getting your questions answered would be there. Even during more normal years, August is a very tough time to find them or any other snake. Good luck I'm still searching but haven't found any for over a month now. My last two were from the San Gabes.
