how would I brumate the snakes to a cooler temp? Unless you have a porch or something, most people's house is people temperature, even in winter. I wouldn't have a place that is below mid-high 60s anyway...not even the closets get cool.
thanks

Depends on where you live, what exactly your living arrangements are, and WHAT you are breeding.
Some people's basements get cool enough. Others tend to have a really cold room or closet somewhere. Some will shut off the heat to one small room and crack a window in winter. Some folks actually use a fridge.
With some snakes (cornsnakes, for example), just a modest cooling off period is enough. The male corn I bred this year got cooled down in my basement, but I decided to breed him to a female that stayed in my snake room all winter. Her temps never went below 70. Got 15 baby corns from them.
All kinds of options, but if you are looking to breed & don't have any place that gets much below 70 in the winter, corns are a good choice. Duffy
