I now have two redfoots and enjoy them but my goal is to get a pair of Aldabra. I live in South Florida and keep them in the back yard. I am pretty sure I can meet their needs with out any problems. The issue I have is I know you can't mix new world and old world tortoises due to cross contamination from fecal matter. How long would I have to wait after the foots age gone till I can get the Aldabras?

I have a friend who can't wait to get my redfoots so know they will be going to a good home.
