"lanche" is his name!

anthony james mc Aug 05, 2007 05:15 PM

Time will tell on this one, he looks quite different than the pics I have seen of Pastel Ivories, his placement of Yellow down his sides seems very much like the "peaks" of the disrupted side pattern going down the sides of the Super Stripes.. He also has a few other odd things about him that makes him stand out more than the other Pastel Ivories out there so far, the bold lavender color in the tail is one of them, if you look close at the tail area on the Super Stripes it makes perfect sence, they are VERY heavily outlined the further you go down the tail on a Super Stripe likely because the snake is tapering off and the dark bordering thickness remains basically the same... Regardless, I agree he'll need to be bred out , but I'm hoping his name will fit him well in the future.. He's only a little over a month old and is an incredible snake and a real joy to feed I must say... Hope you like his pic! Anthony McCain's Reptiles....

Not sure where you get your feed but rabbit food isn't a greyish/blue color , at least I've never seen any like that.. Actually It's called Cell-Sorb bedding, alot of the Pro's out there prefer using it these days, perhaps you should try it before you knock it, lol... Anthony McCain's Reptiles....

with holding heat and humidity?
Any problems with it clumping or molding?
I use cypress now in all my tubs and haven't found anything suitable to use as a replacement.
Let me know how it's working out for you and where I can get some to try it out.

It doesn't seem to mold easy at all, and holds humidity in just fine, it can be sprayed with water to help shedding as well.. It's a good product I think , kinda costly but seems to be a solid time saver .. I haven't used it for long but the other breeders that have seem to like it as well.. I am thinking of becoming a distributor for my area as I will likely be ordering alot of it in the future if it pencils out the way I think it will.. Cell Sorb lasts alot longer than most bedding and spot cleaning is very effective since it is very absorbant (ground up paper in pellet form is it's main composition) , it also holds odors in well (has the mineral gypsum in it which attracts to the compound ammonia to "help" keep the smell from leaving the cage ), plus it can be used for rodent bedding as well. You get what you pay for , and it is a good product... www.cell-sorb-plus.com is the website , ask For Mr Fangman if you call them , he'll answer any questions you may have ...
