yemen Aug 06, 2007 04:47 AM

My veiled has changed colours recently, I just wondered if this meant she was ready to lay her eggs?? She has now got blue and yellow spots on her - ive attached a picture of her which I took today. Ive also attached a picture of her from about a month ago.

For all my egglaying chameleons, I have a container of washed sandbox sand in the cage so that when the female is ready to lay eggs there is a place for her to dig. This helps to avoid the sometimes subtle indications that she is ready so that she won't become eggbound and die.
