my friend has a painted turtle that shell has some copper blotches on its shell. is this normal. or is it bad and needs to be fixed? i have a painted the same age and it does not have them blotches so i figured i would ask u all

My painted has the copper blotches as well. He's still a baby and seems to be fine. I use a UVB fixture and a spot light over his basking area. I posted a question like this before and someone said the blotches were normal, but the more opinions the better as i don't want Spike to be in any uncomfotable sutuation i can aviod. Good post!
