"On Monday, three Noble police officers were placed on administrative leave. The officers responded Friday evening to a report of a snake in a birdhouse, according to a statement released Monday by Noble Police Chief Ben Daves. It was the first public statement by Daves, who has refused to name any of the officers involved in the shooting.
Jack Tracy said he was fishing with his 5-year-old grandson, Austin Haley, Friday night when he saw the first shot hit the water near where they were standing. As he pulled his grandson to his side, he said, a second shot hit the boy in the head."
Three geniuses decide the best course of action is to kill a snake with a fire arm that was probably no less than a 9 mm. It was in a bird house too and probably a harmless king or rat. Between the 3 of them, none of them could identify that it was most likely harmless. So they draw their pistol and shoot at a target, in a birdhouse, not considering that the bullet will travel so many yards before losing velocity and falling to the ground. It’s not so much that they were trying to kill a snake, it’s the fact that a 5 year old died while standing next to his grandfather because three geniuses concluded that shooting a snake in a birdhouse was the right thing to do. Am I missing something here?????? Does Oklahoma not have Animal Control????
