i have a baby leo, about 2 1/2". it is not eating and getting very thin. it will barely open its eyes half the time. is there any tricks i can try. i wish he was bigger than maybe i could try to force feed. please help

sounds like the little one is very sick. what is your setup like? baby leos are alot more sensitive to improper temps/housing conditions than adults. it could be anything from a serious impaction to a cold or other respiratory condition. id get a small small syringe and try feeling him some vanilla Ensure. just drop a bit on the tip of his nose/lips and reflex should cause him to lick it off.

I'd be willing to bet this little one is dehydrated as well as whatever the underlying cause of the illness is. You need to re-check your set-up as the previous post said, increase the ambient temp by a few degrees, and increase the humidity in the tank. Soaks can also help with dehydration. Most importantly, you need to get Something in him so you can get a fecal done and get him to a vet ASAP. The ensure will work for you to get a fecal. you can also use meat (turkey) baby food, which is significantly cheaper than ensure, but not for long-term use alone.
