Hot Enough For 'Ya?

sheshanaga Aug 07, 2007 12:29 PM

So how are you East Coasters handle the current heat wave?

I'm on the West Coast, and last year we were batterered by a relentless heat storm for over two weeks. Temps were into the 100's overnight, and paired with abnormally high humidity, things were what you might call "uncomfortable".

To prepare for that again, a corn snake guru told me to keep some of those frozen blue ice packs available for when it gets in the high 90's and above. You put those in the tanks and it gives the snakes a place to thermo-regulate.

I'm just sayin'....

Here in C-town it's still dropping into the 60s at night. Heck, even Kinney decided to escape the Las Vegas heat and come celebrate Home Days with Mr. B. Harmony. You really oughta consider moving to a city with better weather. I mean who in their right mind would ever live in California?

I ain't mad at cha'.

basically same weather here as Jeff Y. is getting.
The heat index is 102, as I type, but hey the temerarure is only 98. So I guess that puts the humidity somewhere around 85%.
not exactly sure but close enough.

Try living in sw MO! Every August it gets to about 110-115 with 80-90% humidity. Last year i took a trip to New Mexico to cool off for a week. It was nice down there!
