I received this gal a couple weeks ago fresh from the wild's of Guyana and she was seemed quite heavy so decided it might be better to hold onto her. Oddly, she is behaving quite different from other imported cribos in that she is quite tame and placid and docile and sits in a coil in the hide-cave and does not venture out to eat and has not shown any interest at all in food at all. I can actually pat/rub/pet her face and neck and body and she just sits there like a dog whereas most wildcaught would perhaps try to bite or run or crap all over the place. Since containment, she poked her head out twice and went back into the coil and has been this way for 2 weeks sitting like a rock. She has some long area of swelling/enlargement midbody but stops at that yellow band in front of her nose. I don't know if she is ovulating or gravid but she might be as she in very heavy for an import. Can anyone determine anything from looking at her if she might be or not? She also has not pooped anything and most wild caughts poop like a machine regardless if they ate anything recently, so that is odd or different to notice also. Nothing low on her seems to have any eggs, so this is odd I think?
