Color Blind?

LizzardHands Aug 19, 2003 08:05 PM

Just an off the cuff question. Are leopard geckos color blind or can they actually see colors?

They aren't totally color blind... but they are blind to some colors.. Like the infra-red spectrum.. hence why people suggest the use of infra-red lights for heating of most reptiles. I think they see more of the UV bands than anything... I could be wrong though too.. just trying to remember some of the stuff I've read.
