To all of those who read my last post

Okay, my gecko looks completely normal. His tail is nice and rounded, and he's fine besides the point that he's impacted. This has been going on for over a month now, and he's not eating his sand (or licking it or whatever). I've been feeding him one cricket a day in a seperate feeding container with calcium powder at the bottom for when he strikes the cricket, he gets some of that with it. Anyways, he's been drinking a lot of water and he's healthy, I just wish that he wasn't impacted!

Thanks for all the help!

i hate to be a nag, but if he's still impacted why don't you just TRY removing all the sand? i mean, it cant do anything but help????

Um, I'm not trying be rude here, but you have posted several times looking for advice with same problem, and several times your answer has been the same. Either take the advice and get all the sand somewhere where your leo CANNOT access it at all, or stop asking for advice and refusing to take it. And if he's healthy and eating, and if I recall never been to a vet, why are you so convinced that he's consistently impacted?

lol i was the exact same a few months ago. but one thing to do, next time your leo leaves a mess, take it out carefully and go through it with a knife spoon w/e. it's a little disgusting, but if you look through his feaces there should be a small amount of sand if he's impacted from sand. you need to cut it smush it (just use a spoon to smush it into a paper towel) and if you feel grit in it, take him off the sand. if not, you could always ring a vet and ask if there are any shop-bought treatments. that way you wont have to take him into the vet, and you can still get him rid of it. good luck!

okay, guys, I'm sorry. You're all right, and I guess...I don't know...I really don't know why I wouldn't listen. I'll take the sand out like you all said, I honestly don't know what my problem is. I'm sorry...I don't know what to say, but I feel like an idiot, maybe more than that. This is my fault...I'm only making it worse...I'm sorry everyone...

I don't think you need to be sorry, maybe just a little less stubborn. Think about it this way- you came on this forum to get some advice from some more knowledgeable and experienced keepers, and that's what you got. It can be hard sometimes to admit that you don't know it all, but if you didn't know that, you wouldn't have asked the ? in the first place. I guess somewhere between asking the ? and getting the answer you just forgot. It's OK, and really the most important part is that your animal will get the chance to live a long and healthy life, free from the pain of further impaction. Any more ?s, just post. Good luck-
