Does anybody make a terrarium divider suitible for reptiles that can be used with, say, a 20L terrarium? Honestly though, does anybody make a divider that can be used with ANY standard terrarium size?

I tried the fish tank dividers from petsmart, but the snakes just slithered up and over it and decided to share quarters. I would like something more stable and something that would have very little space in between its top and the lid of the cage.

I am open to suggestions of how I can make one, or more preferrably, where I can buy one.

Please help me out

When I did sme volunteer work for a tropical fish store back home. We just siliconed acrylic dividers in the 40 gal longs we used. Worked good.

Just make sure you measure twice and cut Once!

I seriously doubt you'll be able to find anything pre-made that would be efficient enough for snakes. Jeremy's (bighurt) idea sounds good. If you don't like the idea of using/cutting acrylic you can have a piece of glass cut for it. I replaced the end panel of a 55gal tank a few months ago for less than $7. I think it was 1/4 x 13 x 21 glass, cut & smoothed for $6-something.

Measure the exact same spot you're going to put it in case the tank is bowed and then have it cut about 1/8 inch less than actual measurement to allow for it being out of square & ease of installing. Put it in place and silicone both sides of both edges.

Have a good one!

Keep in mind the top part of the tank has a border (mine are black) that is a little smaller thean the bottom part. Dont make the mistake of measuring glass to glass or it won't fit properly if your tanks are similar to mine. I have used wood painted black in some of mine before.

I'm assuming they are for small snakes so the silicon should hold them in just fine. If the snakes are stronger you may need to build a base of some sort. I never actually had to do this though.
