Here they are: 16 hatchlings. (Sorry for the bad pic. Been extremely busy lately.) Some are thin - banded, and some are thick banded. And some are REALLY thick banded, with a couple displaying a "blotched" appearance. One is also a semi-striped/patternless/mosaic or whatever you want to call him, lol! These are all pre-shed pics. Will post some more, better pics, later, after they shed.
For those that havn't seen these before: YES, these are all Eastern Kingsnakes, and will retain most of these colors all the way into adulthood, like their parents have! (Unlike brooksis they do not lighten up much, or develop additional speckling, nor do they have the characteristic orange coloring on the snout - all of their snouts display the typical eastern kingsnake look: Black, with only few yellow marks. There are no goinis bred into this mix, for the dark areas/saddles between the bands, never develop speckling - they stay dark for their entire lives )
The parents of these, are very beautiful, large, orange/peach banded TRUE Eastern Kingsnakes that were selectively bred to retain these colors (for at least three generations), with no captive goini or Brooksi Influence. The founder stock is from extreme South Georgia originally, which may explain the wide bands and orange coloring (locality is NEAR but not IN goini or floridana range). These are the first adults I've had that actually retained most of their orange into adulthood! I will be bringing at least one of the parents to Daytona to let folks see the nice, clean, orange & peach bands on these 5 foot Kingsnakes!
SEE YA IN DAYTONA!
BTW: The Golden corns have just hatched!!! (check in the corn forum)
Thanks for lookin' n' readin' PEACE,
