these belong to a friend and we should see them in the next couple years. They are full blown annulata and aren't hybrids of any kinds.

who blew them???????

markg Aug 09, 2007 01:16 PM

How did that happen? Are you saying it is inheritable? Couldn't happen to a nicer snake. Love annulata, so nice and easy and able to fit in a smallish cage.

If I just saw the pics with no description, I would have guessed Pueblan x Calking x something. Mainly because of the orange striping. Crazy snakes.

Yes, I also would have guessed imperial or whatever they call that genetic crap they are makeing.
These are proven gentic this year I believe and the first one was produced about five years ago.
Shannon

p.s. yes the parents are just plain jain annulata (non locale).

Ask this question: Do you think this is a "similar" thing to "halloween pueblans"? To me, not just being naturally skeptical, I can see some of those Bi coloring tendancies. On the other hand I also see some of the same pattern mutations in splotched sinaloans.....You would be the guy to ask,NICE SNAKES though! Lots of new stuff coming in Annulata's now huh? Jeff

Jeff, its hard to say and the guy working with them hasn't had the best of luck the last two years so it has slowed down the answers a bit. He should have had aberrant x aberrant go this year but no eggs?
Anyway, I think we will know for sure next year and he has a awesome bullseye I sold him three years ago to breed to one of these guys also.

Were the parents of these babies wild caught, his captive bred, or a purchase from another breeder?

Fantastic animals either way ! ! !

Mike, not totally sure if the were w/c or captive but they are just normal looking annulata.

Wow Shannon-those are freaking awesome-especially that last one! Is it too early to get on the list?

Yeah, I like that fourth one the best also.He has a couple older ones that are awesome I remember seeing the first one he produced (lost the pics on my old p.c) and it had a wide black stripe head to tail.
I have been on his list since day one (about five years now) so time will tell.
He has held back everything so far and had bad luck the last two years but he says they should be available next year.
I will let him know you are interested.
They would be interesting to bred into the amels that susan has.

Shannon,
How is Susan doing with those amels?

I haven't seen them marketed for a while.

I really don't know? I know she does a few shows a year and takes them thgere with her. They are nice looking but pretty steap on price with all the other amel tri colors that are out there.

Shannon

MikeFedzen Aug 11, 2007 12:48 PM

Eh.
They would've been out there so much better if someone else got their hands on them first.
Oh well.
