At what age should I be able to sex milks by popping. I read somewhere that it is best right afer they are born. I have tried with the 2 day olds. Either nothing pops out or just a little like their female.

Due to mis-sexing in the past...by myself and by others, I wait until the neonate consumes the first meal. I attempt popping after probing, but just as a secondary method to confirm the probing.
Also, when probing, I probe both sides.

I pop em right out of the egg. Quick rinse in tepid water agitates them into giving it up. The process is repeated after 1st shed, then it's set in stone.

I always let them eat their first meal and digest it for 3 or 4 days before I put them through the stress of sexing so they are as likely as possible to start feeding. I then pop everything and any offspring that doesn't pop male I probe to make sure it just didn't pop easy. I have found it the best way to get correctly sexed babies. Randy W.
