Egg Roll

primevalbeauty Aug 09, 2007 11:43 AM

Alright, Had my final clutch of the season dropped at some point between 10pm last night and 6 this morning. Whilst transfering the six beautiful eggs (from a pied to het female), the one loose booger attempted escape and rolled away from me.
Now I'm not particularly worried (a little worried) ,the eggs being only 6 or so hrs old, I'm thinking it will not affect it. But was wondering whether anyone else had one rollout on them and had problems. This guy was booking, only about two revolutions but he went quick.

I had one that rolled when I first put it in the egg box this season, that I was a little worried about. It actually rolled back and forth a few times throughout incubation. A big, nice baby male Cinny hatched out of it last week though. Like people often say, I think they're a lot more resiliant than we give them credit for. I would say just set it back as close to the original position it was in, and more than likely, it will end up perfectly fine. Good luck with them. I'm actually not that amazed by pieds at all, but it would definitely be cool to hatch some out. But then again, are there any that aren't cool to see hatching? Now your long wait begins. Makes me glad I'm done for the season. Take care. Ryan.

Thankfully I marked them all before attempting, almost didn't. Just goes to show no matter how many times we do this we shouldnt get too cocky.
