Hi all,

A few weeks ago I asked the forum about placing two females in a 20 long together where one was a bit bigger then the other. Well on the one hand I've had no problems between the girls, no tails lost, no missing toes no bite marks etc. I am having a bit of trouble determining if the smaller one is eating, but she really hasn;t lost any noticeable weight. The problem is, she isn;t getting any bigger and her tail seems to be narrowing down. My instinct tells me its because she is laying unfertile egg after unfertile egg. So far she has laid 3 since the beginning of july or end of june. She's looking like she is going to drop another any day now . I think all this egg laying is being a little hard on her she was just over 40 grams when she started
a month and half ago, she is now at 39.68 or so. I'm concerned, I dont want to loose my sunglow girl I have plans for her. Any recommendations at this point?

Many females will lay unfertilized eggs repeatedly. It sounds like your best choice would be to seperate the two, at least until the little one puts some more weight on.
