so i know sand is bad and paper towels/slate tile are the best things to use but what about excavator clay burrowing substrate? has anyone tried it or have any info on it?

This stuff sucks. Really.
It is VERY difficult to shape. It will turn to mush if it gets sprayed. It has a drying affect on my hands, so it probably would dry out an animal too.
My local petstore says that they have recieved so many complaints about this product that they won't carry it anymore.
This one you should just skip and save your money.
