Best product for bonding slate pieces?

cjssp Aug 10, 2007 01:30 AM

I am planning on joing a few pieces of slate tile together and need to know what will form a SOLID bond between the pieces. It must also be safe for my gex. I was thinking of using silicone but I'm not sure the bond will be strong enough to move it around much, it will have to be lifted out every few days for misting. The slate will be joined like a box to hide my ugly tupperware humid hide, the cut scraps will be used to make another hide or 2 and maybe even a stair type system to get on top of the hides. This should help in making the enclosure much more attractive, I just want it to be practical ans SAFE.

Liquid nails? I know that stuff cures and becomes non-toxic..

Have you thought about putting together a humid hide from a more attractive ceramic enclosure?
