Search for a program on yahoo or google called The Gimp
Its a free photo editor and is perfect for just adding text to pics

Yup.

The Gimp rocks- it's the next best thing to photoshop, and it falls under the GNU General Public License.(free for installing/using/copying/distributing in it's original form)

First install the GTK 2 then The Gimp
Its an awesome program for free

I imagine there is some reason you are looking for Photoshop, but I put this together for you using the free "Paint" program included with most Windows computers. It really is a very useful program for all kinds of things. Photoshop might be way more program than you really need.

I use Photoshop professionally, so I know what I'm doing. I'll add text to one photo for free (including any glows, burning, drop shadows, etc. to make it stand out). I don't want to get kicked off the boards, so send me a message and we'll talk.
