My biggest clutch ever !

Conserving_herps Aug 10, 2007 10:55 AM

I know to some people these is really not that big of a clutch but to me, 8 successful hatchlings finally came out a few days ago from a pairing of albinos het anery. Two out of the eight are snows. I'm so happy about it since this is the first time their parents have bred. And they are rather huge, I measured one of them to be almost 16 inches long. I normally get them to be around 14 inches only. But I'm not surprised because the parents are really big.

Thanks for looking and just thought I'd share. Best time of the year for sure regarding breeding snakes !

Take care...

Ray

Yup, they are huge Jason. But Shannon (had last year?) hatchlings that are 18-20 inches. Those can probably start on fuzzies...lol...

Thanks Erik. It looks like the 2 snows are both females...but will have to try to sex them again to be sure.

Wow, 18 - 20 inches. I can just imagine the size of the actual eggs. That's awesome Shannnon.
