anyone ever order from...

Regal Reptiles? They seem to have good prices on their red-eyed croc skinks. But then, you usually get what you pay for. Does anyone else have any experience in ordering from them, and do you recommend them? Thanks.

I've never been a fan of ordering. In my mind, the reptile (or any other animal) has been through enough being taken from where it lives (unless it's CB) been shipped in probably poor conditions and put into an alien surrounding, only to have the same done again when someone orders it.

I'd suggest you hold out until you can find one from a reputable dealer. Have a search in pet shops etc. There's usually noticeboards in there with breeders of different things. One will come around soon enough, and if you want him that badly, surely you can wait a while.

I've checked all the pet shops around here, and none have them. I know the pet shop I work at can get them for $60 from a local wholesaler, but the couple times we ordered from them, the animals were horrible. I live in NJ, and if I get enough good reports about Regal, I'll make the drive up there to personally pick out the pair I want. But it's a 4 hour drive each way, so I want to make sure I'm not wasting my time. I've ordered through the mail three or four times before, and the animals were always wonderful. Not to mention that from our old supplier, if the lizards were $60 a piece, then they'd probably end up costing at least $100 each from the store. I can afford a pair at $60-$65 an animal, but not double that. If I had that money, I would just go ahead and get a male dumeril's for my little girl

I've seen Regal's tribs at a show, and they looked pretty decent. I can't say I'm a trib expert, but if I was going to get some I'd probably get 'em from Regal's table. They usually have nice looking animals at any rate, they're not one of those places with tanks full of sick savanna monitors. I think I got my tarantula from them.
