I postd some pics of my artork a month or so ago and had a great response from the boa world, so, just thought I would share a few new pieces. Let me know what you think, I love the feedback.

A few is three or more and a couple is two! I always loved it when I worked in the pet shop, guys would come in say give me a couple rats, I would always ask them how many is that! Two was always the anwser.

you worked in a pet store (not something to brag about considering most of the pet shop employees I've dealt with )

Folks came in and asked for a couple of rats (simple request)

You asked how many (they already said a couple)

They answered "two" (exactly what a couple is)

You dissing on yourself or what? I don't get it!!

DAVE!!!! You are so perfect!! Guess you worked at IBM your whole life never had a summer job like in a petstore when you were sixteen!! I would never dis on myself!!!! Yeah a couple is two, but it isn't a exact number! Like if someone asks for a couple crickets or a couple mealworms that doesn't sound right! They always want more than two, but they say a "couple"! I was just trying to be humerous, but of course you have to turn in to a perfection contest!

Just wanted to add that there are the people that come in and say they need a rat. Then when they see a rat they are like...huh no I need a mouse...lol

he's awesome and beat the trend in musicians who where more succesful on their own....

In other words, Black Sabbath sucks without him.....Badly!!!

No offense intended, I actually thought you meant to write somebody came in and asked for a few rats and when you asked how many they said two.

I know I'm sarcastic and sometimes come across the wrong way, was just funning with you, I really am sorry, just wanted some humor today, it started out with finding my first BRB litter of the season all slugs and preemies.

And I washed dishes at a restaraunt at 16 BTW, a really suck job but stuck with it.

From 11 - 16....

then when I was married (now dissolved)I worked full time for Costco and part time nights in a pet store. I will assume Al was not the "typical" pet store employee even at 16. But I assure Al that Dave is just being a ball buster as he usually is.

I definitely was not the typical pet store employee. I know a little about proper husbandry and Herptiles in general.

I once had a girl in charge of the reptile department at a local pet store refuse to sell me a green tree frog as snake food, luckily the owner of the store was much more receptive to my request. ( honestly she should transfer to the fish department, wait, fish eat other animals too, besides those pesky flakes )Darn eastern hog nose snakes. lol

If you can not stomach feeding or selling the natural prey items that some snakes require as a part of their husbandry, please go get a "guppy" and get out of my face. This goes double for anyone insisting I switch an eastern hog from amphibian prey to rodent prey. if that is what they where meant to eat, that would be exactly what they would eat. Yeah I understand the possible parasite burdens amphibian prey animals carry. I also understand that un natural food sources can adversely effect a snakes health. GET A GUPPY !!!!!!

a few pic's from my collection and a friends recent B.c.o. litter......(some w/ my cell phone)....

The only mystery is why it's a surprise to you that people use the English language correctly.

aera Aug 10, 2007 10:08 PM

Great! thanks for the feedback. It's hard putting yourself out there for opinions on your artwork,so,thanks very much! i am working on a boa painting right now. I started it awhile ago, then got into making some frames from wood I recovered from riddle farms (the farm on the eastern shore of maryland that the champion race horses "Man o' war" and "War admiral" were raised and trained at)The farm was disassembled and a high end community and "Ruth's Chris" steak house now replace it.I will finish the painting up this week. Any suggestions on future snake paintings?

bahreptiles Aug 11, 2007 12:12 AM

a nice Suriname or Peruvian with a tail that would make any snake jealous.
