earthworm vs. nightcrawler

alreynolds2003 Aug 19, 2003 10:13 PM

i have been catching nightcrawlers in my lawn for the past month, i looked at the nutritional values of an earthworm and wondering if they would very much for a nightcrawler, or are they the same thing. He would not be able to finish an entire nightcrawler, but i figure for a treat i could break them into 3rds and feed them to him, more nutritious than a waxworm from what i gather, has anyone tried doing this and do you know where i could find nutritional information on them

Do you guys feed earthworms to chameleons? Will they actualy eat them and are they healthy? How do you feed them to them(can their tounge stick to them, or do you have to deslime them?) Thanks!

I don't use them. It would be nice to hear from someone that does though.
Since I'm raising my own feeders I tend not to use wild insects other than an occasional fly, cricket, butterfly or dragonfly. Very rarely use WC insects. Helps with variety though, since we know how important that is.
