There almost the exact same thing, both produce the exact same morphs and combo morphs. Some people have both some only one but both are great to work with.

I prefer a nice looking black pastel. They make awesome pewters in my opinion. They seem to allow for more contrast and the black lace look is way better then most cinnys. So i guess it has everything to do with the pattern to me.

I have both and I think I like the look of the black pastel better. I tend to agree that they make prettier pewters.

I was under the impression that a cinnamon and a black pastel were identical things?

As a stand alone morph I like them both - love the vivid colors and pattern of the black pastel and love the classic golden color and pattern of the cinny. But which one to work with?????

Depends on what you want to do and what you like - when you look at the supers and combos there are subtle but distinct differences in the silver streaks, stearling pastels, pewters, silver bullet, cinnabee, hypo cinnamon, pewterbee - to be honest there are some from the BP that I like more than the Cinny and some from the Cinny that I like more than the BP - but what I may prefer in any of these combos over the other might not be what you like.

JET Pythons

(CJBianco explaining the origins of the BP market.)
"In the beginning Bob created the Ball Python market. And the market was without morph, and wild traits were upon the industry. And Bob said, Let there be morph, and there was morph. And Bob saw the morph, that it was good; and Bob divided the morph from the wild trait. And Bob called the morph Albino, and the wild trait Normal. And the Albino and the Heterozygous Albino were the first investment.
