Another Titanium Pic

PrehistoricPets Aug 10, 2007 08:43 PM

This is the same Titanium used below for the one labeled "Bronze Titanium." The color on these things seems to change throughout the day depending on their mood or the temps, or something. I'm not sure what causes it, but they sure look cool. Thanks for looking.

Fantastic animal Pattric! Seeing that compared to other boids breeders of Retics have just scrathed the surface of what can be produced! You and Jay have to be very excited about what the future holds with these animals! I know I am!! Keep up the great work and I know everyone looks forward to what you produce next with your Retics! keepers of this species of python. All of my retics go through a beautiful color change at night after taking in a good meal.

Have you noticed that with this particular variant, maybe not, unless you stay after lights out ?

I think that the color change that I have noticed does tend to come more with a meal, especially a meal right after shed. However, I haven't really checked or paid attention after dark to see how that plays into it.

thanks, they most def change drastically after dark, lots of snakes do. BRB change tremendously without a meal, retics it seems to be tied to eating somehow.

...and at night after a big meal! I've deffinately noticed that some Retics change color after heavy feeding, and at times of stress.

thanks...also they release a foul messing odor through their skin glands, not musking, they do that also if agitated. Their skin becomes tacky to the touch....had a fight with a 17 footer, I won....Now when he looks at me and put's his head down lol.

Some of my males are rather ballzey during the breeding season !!

I have heard this about administering antibiotics as well, they seem to associate the person treating them with the pain of the shots. I know, what I am about to write, is a slight bit left fieldish...

it is almost like they are holding a grudge against you lol....

thanks for the reply...
