I recently moved from Lubbock, Texas to Los Angeles, CA (Pasadena) and I'm trying to find some good road cruising roads near here - I'm right next to the San Gabriel mountains. I met some great people in Texas, where I lived for 2.5 years and saw some awesome herps with their help. You can see lots of my herp photos here: www.zardbite.com
I was wondering if anyone could help me find some good roads and spots out here. I only want to photograph the animals, so I won't be collecting anything- I do have Scientific Collecting Permits from my work - I'm a wildlife biologist/herpetologist for a consulting firm, but I still don't collect. I actually found 2 rosy boas near Mojave in May and some other cool stuff, but I don't know any roads up this way. Any help would be greatly appreciated and if anyone wants to go out herping, just let me know - I'd love have more herping buddies!
