practical Borneo set-up?

iant Aug 11, 2007 10:06 PM

What is a good Borneo short-tail setup from hatchligs to adults?
Between torts and tanks my rep room is filling quickly. I would like to do racks, but still really dont want to dump a grand on What I think I will need for them And then moving to four foot cages. I dont mind putting the money in the full size cages down the road, but for now id rather pinch pennies for the pythons. The other thing being what would be a approximate hatchling to adult growth rate under normal conditions? (not power feeding or under feeding) many thanks.

Ian

Mostly I use rubbermaid and racks for rubbermaid containers. I keep hatchlings in 6 qts, babies in 12, juvies in sweater chests, currently no sub adult rack (workin on it) and then my adults are in 4'x2' rack systems.

At around 8 mo your looking at a foot and a hal tof two foot long snake, a two year old is generally around three and a half feet 8 lbs or so, early adulthood (3.5-4 years) they should be four -4.5 foot (depending on the snake) and 10-15. Adults range anywhere from 4-6'(and more in certain animals) 15-30 lbs
