Questions regarding how to post pictures.

I have registered to post pictures, & when I go to upload the picture, it get a message saying that the file limit is 250k. I checked the photo & it was 287k. The dimensions were 1024 x 768. I looked at another one of my photos I want to post & it was 812k. This photos dimensions were 1632 x 1232. My camera has 3 settings regarding the quality of the resolution. Good, better, & best. I have tried taking photos on the good setting which puts me within the limits of 250k. However, the quality of the resolution is poor. I take all of my photos on the best quality resolution, but now I can't post any of them. Do I have to go to a photoshop & resize? If so, could you recommend some photoshop sites. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Jud

You just need to open them in a photo editing program and resize them. There should have been some software that came with your camera. I use photoshop, but it is a 600 dollar program. YOu can get PhotoSuite or something for about $30 at Staples or an office store, or use MS Paint which probably came with your computer.
