my leo puked?

oO0reptilegirl0O Aug 12, 2007 02:10 AM

ok. im new to leopard geckos. i have three. well they all eat pretty well. and are doing great. the other night my blizard ate and waited about an hour to throw up all the mealworms she had eaten. they were not digested at all. she was born on 6/19 and i got her on 7/15. my question is... is this normal? or something to freak out and worry about?

usually reptiles regurgitate from stress, improper temperatures, and too much food (either in number or the actual size of the prey items). Make sure the temp gradient is correct (90 on the warm side, room temp on the cooler side) and that all of the leos have plenty of hiding areas to choose from. Next time you feed, regulate how many prey items this leo can have and keep them small.

Hopefully this helps!

goodluck!

Do not feed him for at leas 3 days... And make sure he has enough water in his water bowl....
Just leave him be for a few days.

thanks a lot. i think it was actually the fact that he did over eat. he ate like three times more than he usually does. there are plenty of hides. and the temps are right. so that must be it. thanks for your response. and thanks for not treating me like im a idiot. im new to this. i appreciate it.
