#1 i got from petco. im not sure how old she is. but she was purchased on 6/19. what kind is she? my guess is patternless?

# 2 and three were purchased from the reptile show on 7/15. i think the one is blizard. her hatch date was 6/19. i think she looks a little skinny, do you agree? she eats a lot but i dont know.

#3 i have no clue what this one is. proably normal? its hatch date was 6/1.

they are all female. i have had them sexed.

what do you think?

ALSO i want to breed them. what kinda boy should i get? is there anything i can get that would make interesting babies?

I am sorry if what I am going to say sounds harsh....
But if you can´t sex your own geckos you shouldn´t try to breed them.... IMO

Wow Lecoiskin, you're definitely the kind of person that makes almost every forum out there blow this one away. Try to be a more productive member why don't ya.

ReptileGirl,

#1 - Looks to be a Patternless
#2 - Looks like a Blizzard
#3 - A Stripe

Nice lookin' Leopards. Look on the underside, below the vent a male will have two large hemipenal buldges and inbetween it's kind legs would be a darker set of femoral pores (these look like an upside down V and sometimes there's a wax secretion coming out). Females have the femoral pores, but they're much, much lighter.

It'll be easier to tell once they get bigger.

Make sure you read up on breeding as much as possible it alaway's helps !

and try and find a suitable male in good health you can alaways try the classifieds or try to find a store near you make sure there healthy and there weight is able to breed

just make sure your females are the right weight as well .

( a few weeks back i bought a female blizzard she ending up being prego . and ended up having the clutch a week later . i ending up loosing thee eggs becuase shipping & handling did not mail on weekens..
after that me and my mom read as much as possible
and read upgood up to date sites for breeding as well
i would so recommend buying " The Herpetoculture of Leopard Geckos "
explains alot of detail even though its abit expencive is so helpful about 39 bucks
on the bright side shes had 3 clutchs and the 6 eggs are healthy and she should be laying her 5th this week .

good luck

well , try and picture your self if you arebreeding for fun or future bisness ??...

my bizzard is father was a tremper albino .... ( not of my choice .. lol
but ill get normal babys het for albino and bizzard so ill see how it gos .. its my first time breeding myself .

oO0reptilegirl0O Aug 13, 2007 12:05 AM

yeah. its more for fun. but i mean... it would be cool to get something besides normal babies out of it.

not necessary though.

mootish Aug 13, 2007 05:16 AM

yeah ! , well if you wanna do it as a hobby its a pretty cool thing!

oO0reptilegirl0O Aug 13, 2007 07:27 AM

wow. beautiful. what is that?

mootish Aug 13, 2007 02:15 PM

tremper sunglow , .... i can;t wait to see her all grown up ! ...

Darksky Aug 12, 2007 07:15 PM

whoa...first off its tough to sex young geckos, even experienced breeders and keepers often cant be 100% positive when sexing a young animal. my first leo was sold to me as a male and turned out to be female (and she came from a very reputable breeder). lets not try to discourage someone's enthusiasm. how are we supposed to help eachother learn new things if we are put off from the subject???

oO0reptilegirl0O Aug 12, 2007 07:58 PM

ok. i just have to say thank you to the two people who actually took the time out to answer my questions... with respect for the fact that im new to this.

I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!
