This was a really cool surprise. It came from a pair of Reverse Okeetees. I have some other aberrant patterns but this guy is over the top. I have never seen anything quite like it from Reverse Okeetees. Cool huh?

You can see this snake at table #373 and #456, hope to see ya there!

I have never seen anything like it from anyone. Nice reverse okeetee stripe. I like it a lot. That snake is going to look amazing as an adult.
Congrats

.........UNREAL !!!!
Amazing snake Tom. Was it's parents known hets for the "Motley Striped" pattern?

Very nice !!
Walter

Nokturnel Tom Aug 12, 2007 02:57 PM

Thanks Walter. I had no idea there'd be a stripe. The mother has a few hourglass looking connected blotches and that's it as far as aberrancy. The father is from SMR and has a perfect pattern. Some sibs had some neat patterns but nothing as extreme as this. It is really incredible and the color is quite intense considering it has only shed once so far.

Outstanding animal Tom!!

I have been thinking about that snake ever since you sent me the pic when she first hatched out... I am glad that you decided to hang on to her!!

Thanks Mike but honestly I am unsure if she will stay here or go home with someone at the Expo. My main focus is the Brooksi and Pits, but I have to admit I REALLY love this snake. I think as an adult it will be outrageous!

Killer, Tom!
Is that from a pair you've been breeding for awhile?
Hey, if you'll be at the Austin show (I assume so), I hope you display it there, too! I wanna see her!

Hey Jack, I am goin to be vending in Austin, but not sure if this snake will be coming back home with me from Daytona. It came from a female I have that has always thrown some aberrant patterns, but this is far beyond her norm. Tom

is that similar to a snake I saw in Mike McEachern's book?.......book is here somewhere.......I'm not digging it up.....

.......they had a snake in there that was odd.......from an egg that was "attacked by mold"......it died later....maybe a year later?........I forget.........

that is sweet........breed it to a sib to see if you can get more.......

............good luck..........

(my eggs with mold never hatch a cool critter...they either make it ok or come out small or die usually......)LOL.......

Thanks, and I hope next time you produce a nice oddball like this it does well for you. I know what it is like to have something unique perish, and it seems many of the best things in the reptile world are a tease...as you see them.......and then they're gone...
This is why some people understand a steep price tag can be justifiable on certain things. I produced an almost patternless White Wall Speckled King this year, and I had a bad feeling as it was bloated with yolk. I never posted any pics and showed it to very few people. Sure as you know what...it died, it could not pass the yolk for some reason....man did that sting

LOVE that one!! my female has a couple hour glass patterns on her... maybe ill be lucky enough to hatch something like that. so how much do you want for her?? lol

Nokturnel Tom Aug 13, 2007 12:07 PM

You never know, things randomly pop up like this and it can happen to anyone. I have not set a price on this snake yet.... but I don't think I will be bringing it home from Daytona

The Okeetee's are my favorite. This is absolutely the best looking snake ever. When you get babies from this, I'll definitly buy a few!!! You should try to do the other Okeetee's with this. You might just get lucky.
