Sulfur Mojave Yellowbelly

Eric Sandoval Aug 12, 2007 05:10 PM

This little girl just had her first shed. The yellowbelly gene didn't do to much to the color, there is just a slight difference and the head is a little lighter. The side pattern is slightly different as well. The biggest difference is the perfect stripe from head to tail. The last pic includes a yearling and an adult sulfur mojave to show the color change she'll go through.

Thanks for looking,
Eric

She looks great, I love the way she looks with the strip.
Congrats on her.

the yellow belly may have played no part in the stripe... a pic of my female i hatched out this year normal x mojave breeding...almost compleatly striped also

Just kidding, just kidding.

Grrreat looking new combo. Congratulations...

Please keep us posted as she grows. No doubt her already great blushing will only get better with time.

Congrats Eric, she looks nice. Along with the good combo she has a clean solid stripe down her back. Have you got the results on the super Sulfers yet?

Thanks everyone. Chris, I just checked the bigger of the two sulfur mojave girls I used and it looks like I won't be getting any eggs from her this year. This season I'll be using a sulfur male instead of a sulfur mojave so the super doesn't get mixed up with a super mojave. I should have some Sulfur Super Mojaves at the beginning of September.

It's neat to see how the y.b. may have created the stripe in that animal...very pretty snake. Grats on it....

Thanks Jared. I think it's a combo of the sulfur and yb that's creating the stripe. 80% or so of the sulfur mojaves I've hatched have had nice stripes, but the yb gene seems to have finished it off by making a perfect stripe.
