I wouldn't tell anyone where the location is because they are sure to vanish.
Contact your state researchers of that species and report your find. It may be a common site or not but if you start blabbing.... they will be gone. K>.S

JJ:
I am not from the Bay Area but have found adult Calif. Giant Salamanders in the Santa Cruz Mt. region. The species should be doing fine where favorable habitat is present and which has not been degraded by excessive water removal, undue amounts of contaminants in streams where the species needs to live during the immature stages, etc.

You could contact herpetologists at the Calif. Academy of Sci.
in S.F. or at U.C. Berkeley to determine if your particular site of discovery is special in some way.

Dicamptodon ensatus is actually quite common and can be found in many year round streams. There are thousands of sites that have larvae but adults are much more rare. Larvae outnumer adults 200 to 1 in many areas.
