Can anyone suggest a good and cheap site to purchase crickets from? so many I've seen only offer 500 or more and I would like to start with 250 and see how many I will actually need. I also need the site to offer different sizes, one for my two bearded dragons and one for my 3 fire bellied toads. any information would be helpful. Thanks

I get mine at mulberryfarms.com. You can get 100 for $6.00. They're fast and dependable.

I'm very happy with premiumcrickets.com, good customer service experience when one of my shipments arrived mostly dead during a 100 degree heatwave.

i live in florida and we get easily 110*F everyday are the crickets usually still alive?

where r u located? im in orlando and with our heat index its at a good 120 in direct sunlight.i keep my uromastyx outside alot but his basking sight was reaching 125 and i watched him drink out of a water dish.so i dont know if crickets will make it.thanks

Wow. That's hot! I'm in Utah. My advice is to email or call the cricket place and ask them how they handle shipments to extremely hot places. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I bet crickets live outside in Orlando. My supplier is in MS and it's been brutally hot there as here (NJ) and all my shipments have been fine. To the poster that started this thread I'd recommend that you buy larger quanties for better pricing. If your animals cannot eat all of them in a month then what you need is more animals.

In ordering crickets, don't fall for the initial price per amount, some places have higher shipping charges.

For instance, one place mentioned in this thread lists 1000 crickets for $14.50. After you add their 2nd Day Air shipping charge of $11.01 your total cost would be $25.51.

I recently ordered 1000 and had 'em overnighted for $25 from my regular supplier. If I were to have had 'em shipped 2nd Day Air, like the other place, my supplier's price would've only been $20. 20% savings over time adds up. Do your homework.

The best place that I've found is lllreptile.com. That is where I've always ordered from. They sell 1000 crickets of any size for 17.99 Including shipping. That also includes heat packs(don't know aabout cold packs, I've never had need of them). you can also get 250, 500, 2000 and 5000 crickets. The only down side is that they only ship on Mondays and though it says 2nd day shipping they've always come on Thursday for me, I think that's because I live so far away though. At most I'll have maybe 20 dead crickets when I get them. I've checked lots and lots of other sites and these guys are the cheapest that I've found. Good Luck!

Every now & then I see LLLReptile has good specials on 'em, too, making they're already low price a tad bit lower. I might have to give 'em a try on the next special I see.

I've always ordered from [bleep].com, located in central Mississippi. They have a 500 minimum for cricket orders but that shouldn't be a problem for anyone with 2 or more hungry insect eaters.

1000 circkets for $18, with free 2nd Day Air delivery, plus a $2 surcharge placed on delivery by courier for residential deliveries.

I live in eastern NC and have always got mine on 2nd day, but, then again, I'm fairly close to my source. Always arrived in good shape. Few, if any, dead.
