Quick Question about hatchling belly but

newstorm Aug 12, 2007 09:29 PM

Our beardies are hatching as we speak, and one seems to have a pink knot on its stomach. Am I correct this is the belly button? It seems fine, but the others dont have it, or they are very small.
Will it be ok? Does it just fall off?

Sorry, this is our first experience with hatchlings, thanks in advance for the info.

Jeff

The "belly button" is where the yolk is being absorbed, eventually the entire yolk will be absorbed, nothing to worry about.

I kinda figured that. Just wanted re-assurance. Thank you.

That's correct.

Congratulations!

Have a good one!
